Visual Communication & Environmental Graphics
A selection of print and environmental graphics projects I designed and art directed.
Led the art direction and execution of this permanent installation honoring LLE’s Nobel Prize-winning physicists. Collaborated with my team to develop the concept, coordinate vendors, and oversee fabrication and installation, including a custom illuminated display case featuring a significant piece of LLE experimental history. Led the development and art direction of LLE’s Innovation Timeline, working with senior leadership to distill more than 100 scientific and technical accomplishments into a cohesive visual narrative. Directed the layout and supporting graphics to communicate each milestone clearly and accessibly across print and environmental formats. The project is being adapted into an animated digital experience for LLE’s signage system and will also appear as the center spread of the commemorative magazine and as large-scale displays for the laboratory’s 50th anniversary celebration.
Directed the development of a custom scientific simulation video for display on the immersive screen at the VISTA Collaboratory at the University of Rochester. The piece was later featured in the University anthem video and used as a backdrop for scientific portrait photography.
Created a custom illustration of LLE’s two major laser systems and designed this large-scale environmental graphic for the facility entrance. Managed vendor sourcing and installation of the piece, which is now used regularly during laboratory tours and presentations to explain laser operations to visitors, including elected officials, dignitaries, and other guests.
Designed and directed the installation of this custom branding wall, working closely with vendors to create a permanent backdrop for photography, events, and institutional media.
Lead and art direct the creation of LLE’s timeline hallway installation, a long-running environmental graphics project documenting key milestones in the laboratory’s history. Work collaboratively with my team each year to research, design, and produce new additions, including this specialty plaque commemorating the historic ignition achievement.
