Community

Creativity doesn't end when I leave work. The Rochester area has been home for more than two decades, and the people and community here have shaped both my career and my perspective. Whether through volunteer leadership, community art, or design initiatives, I'm grateful for opportunities to give back to the place that has given me so much.

Odyssey of the Mind

Finding solutions to the impossible

Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving competition that had a profound impact on the way I think. After competing as a student, I've spent more than a decade giving back as a regional and state judge, coached teams for three years, and most recently served as Problem Captain for the Classics problem. Watching students tackle seemingly impossible challenges with creativity and teamwork continues to inspire me and reinforces the same philosophy I bring to my professional work: the best solutions begin by asking, What if?

Rochester Contemporary Art Center 6 × 6

I've participated in the Rochester Contemporary Art Center’s annual 6x6 exhibition since 2017, contributing original artwork like those shown here that celebrate Rochester's iconic City Mark. It's an opportunity I look forward to each year, both as an artist and collector, and one of my favorite ways to connect with Rochester's creative community.

City Mark Documentary

City Mark: A Rochester Icon celebrates one of Rochester's most recognizable symbols and the community that has embraced it for more than 50 years. I was honored to participate in the documentary because of my long-standing love of the City Mark and the artwork I've created around it. That celebration continued at Rochester's inaugural Flower Fest, where I joined local artists and makers in sharing City Mark-inspired work with the community. More than a documentary about a logo, it's a love letter to Rochester and a celebration of the power of thoughtful design to shape a city's identity.
